Variable Income Plan (VIP)
The Variable Income Plan (VIP) supplements your regular health care coverage by paying you dollars per day for covered hospital stays. VIP is guaranteed renewable, with benefits reduced at age 65. Certain coverage restrictions apply.
Features
- Preferred Plan (must be under 65): You can select a $250, $200 or $100 cash benefit for each inpatient hospital day.
- Budget Plan (must be under 65): Choose $250, $200 or $100 cash benefit per hospital day, beginning on the third day of your hospital stay.
- Seniors 65-80 Plan (for people between the ages of 65 and 80): You get a $100 cash benefit per hospital day, beginning with the third day of your hospital stay.
